WITNESSING A CRIME
If you spot a crime in progress, you need to be cautious when getting involved. The best way to help the police is to be a great witness. Be prepared:
» Focus on the criminal, not the victim, during an unfolding crime. Study the person(s).
» Pay special attention to the criminal's prominent characteristics, including gender, weight, age, height and build.
» Make a mental note of the assailant's hair, forehead, eyes, nose, ears, cheeks, mouth and complexion to help the police sketch artists create an accurate drawing.)
