Dr. Luisa Delgado (Rosa Blasi) fights to keep her South Philadelphia women's clinic open amid handling heroin addicts, a streetwise support group and a domestic abuse case that isn't quite what it seems. Meanwhile, across town at Rittenhouse Hospital, Dr. Dana Stowe (Janine Turner) goes to uncomfortable lengths to treat a woman who is genetically at risk for ovarian cancer: She convinces the woman's dying sister to try to persuade her to remove her ovaries — and any chance of bearing children.
