Featuring inspiring, award-winning performances by Annie Potts and Lorraine Toussaint, the show demonstrates an ability to touch the hearts of women everywhere as it gets to the heart of an enduring friendship between two remarkable women.
Together these women whose lifelong relationship was first forged as children growing up in Alabama during the height of the Civil Rights Movement face the ups and downs of everyday life, drawing strength from each other to deal with a world filled with laughter, tears and the very different lives they've chosen.
Annie Potts' portrayal of Mary Elizabeth Sims, a white career woman and mother, has won her multiple SAG Award Nominations. Lorraine Toussaint's work as Rene Jackson, a single and successful African American attorney, has brought her a 1999 NAACP award for being a positive role model. Any Day Now has also won the YWCA Racial Justice Corporate Award.
